Top Tips for planning a Ibiza wedding

Planning an Ibiza wedding is a little like falling in love—it’s exciting, a little wild, and full of magic waiting to unfold. If you’re just starting the journey of planning your wedding in Ibiza, it can feel a tiny bit overwhelming too. From choosing the perfect venue to navigating the local logistics, there’s a lot to think about. That’s why I’ve gathered some of my favorite tips—honest, helpful, and straight from the heart—to help you feel calm, clear, and so excited as you step into this beautiful adventure.

Choose your Ibiza wedding venue first—it sets the tone for everything

Before you dive into dresses, flowers, or guest lists, start with your Ibiza wedding venue. This little island is full of breathtaking spots—from wild cliffside hideaways to soft sandy beaches and elegant fincas surrounded by bougainvillea. Your venue will shape the feel, the flow, and even the date of your wedding.

Think about the experience you want to create. Do you dream of golden hour vows with Es Vedrà in the background? A barefoot ceremony on the beach? A candlelit dinner under olive trees?

Once your venue is set, everything else starts to fall into place like pieces of a dreamy, sun-drenched puzzle.

Work with local experts you trust

This one is huge. Ibiza is gorgeous, yes—but it’s also an island. That means working with vendors who know the terrain, the rhythms, and the little quirks that come with planning events here is essential.

Whether it’s a planner, florist, or photographer (hello! 🙋🏼‍♀️), local knowledge is invaluable. They’ll know which venues get the best light, which roads are best avoided on a Saturday, and how to handle things when island life gets a little… creative.

And honestly? When you connect with people who get you, everything feels lighter, easier, and more joy-filled.

Be mindful of the heat - and the light

Ibiza sun is beautiful… and powerful. If you’re planning an outdoor ceremony, especially in summer, try to time it for late afternoon or early evening when the light is soft and golden and your guests won’t be melting in their seats.

That golden hour window (usually 1–2 hours before sunset) is pure magic—for vows, for portraits, for that just-married glow. Trust me: it’s worth planning around.

Stay true to yourselves

Ibiza isn’t about perfection. It’s about presence. The soft wind in your veil, the salty air on your skin, the way your partner looks at you as the waves crash in the background.

You don’t need to over-style or overthink. Let the island do what it does best—create beauty in the simplest of ways. Focus on what matters most: the people you love, the love you’re celebrating, and the joy of being right here, right now.

Soak it all in

Here’s a little secret from someone who’s witnessed countless weddings on this island: the best moments are often the quiet ones. A walk down to the beach before the ceremony. A breath with your partner just after you say “I do.” The soft clinking of glasses as the sun dips below the horizon.

Try not to fill every moment with plans or pressure. Make space. Let the island hold you. This is your time, your love, your story unfolding under a Mediterranean sky.

If you’ve made it this far, I want to give you the warmest hug (and maybe a chilled glass of cava ✨). You’re not just planning a wedding. You’re creating a memory that will glow in your hearts forever.

So take a deep breath, trust the journey, and remember: you’re getting married on one of the most magical islands in the world. That alone is more than enough.

And if you’re looking for someone to photograph all the love, laughter, and those fleeting in-between moments that make it yours—I’d be honored to be there with you.
